A virtual landscape that is fully navigable from an internet browser using mouse and arrow keys, the_round takes its name from an enigmatic earthwork in a field near Helford in Cornwall..

The landscape includes a realistic 3D model of Meneage  Methodist Church. The church overlooks a representation of the Mouth of Hell, which, placed within the round, is based on the theatrical conventions of the medieval Cornish Mystery Plays.

the_round was made for the NSA exhibition 'Site-Non-Site' at Kestle Barton Centre for Rural Art. It can be entered from the link below, and navigated using mouse and arrow keys.

It is about 7Mb in size so it will take a minute or two to load depending on the speed of your internet connection. You may also be asked to install the Unity player..
